Official PMK x Villa Collaboration “Imperial Yeezy 2”

   Our PMK team has struck again, and this time really took it to another level. This year’s biggest sneaker release was undoubtedly the Nike Air Yeezy 2. With the Yeezy 2 being as highly prized as it is, it would sound crazy to custom a
pair, right? Many artist cringe at the thought of customizing this shoe because of its resale value, but truthfully, the real fright that they experience is rooted in the difficult task of adding the right element to its already complex design! PMK boldly goes where no man has gone before, taking the challenge without fear of what the critics will think or say. The air Yeezy 2 gets a much needed golden treatment and The Imperial Yeezy is born. Using the shoes existing Egyptian theme as the guide. PMK gives the odd silhouette a blend of Three metallic paints, transforming the scaled leather into golden wings. The metal lace ends were switched to match the 24K golden treatment.  PMK also takes the Yeezy packaging to new heights, transforming its cardboard predecessor into a box fashioned after the design of the shoe! A magnetic hinged strap is added to the box along with a glow in the dark paint job that covers the bottom of the front of the box, mirroring the sneaker design to a T! With the depth that has been put into this box and sneaker, there is no need for PMK to watch the throne…They own it!   

“Official Collaboration Miracle Whip x PMK x Reebok”

PMK or should we say the “Aristocracy” of custom sneaker culture continue their UN-questionable reign in 2012. Producing this years most profound varieties of custom sneakers and clothing and after this custom, there is no question on the heights that they are capable of reaching. Being summoned earlier this year by Kraft ( Miracle Whip) and Reebok to custom design a sneaker for Roots Drummer and sneaker guru Questlove, PMK knew that this would have to be the most unique Reebok Question to ever hit the scene. With Brother Questlove’s Roots being in Philly, the guys over at Reebok didn’t hesitate on their choice to give him the Reebok Question 2012 edition.It was now the job of PMK to transform this sneaker into a shoe that would be loved by all parties, a task rightfully given to the masters of concept design. After studying the shape of the shoe and hours of research on the brands involved…. the Miracle Question was born. This Iverson question was fashioned after the bottle using four hand-mixed blues and then accented by wooden lace locks and a box that represented a cutting board! This shoe was destined for the deli decor! Speckled paint adorned the laces and insole to match Miracle Whip spray paint branding and the signature Questlove silhouette was laser engraved into the lace lock and box featuring the MW logo in his iconic Afro. What started as a Man professing his love for a brand on twitter, turned into a product supported by cross industry giants. This collaboration is a miracle indeed.

HOME RUN!! PMK X Cinncinnati Red NIKE Dunk

We at PMK have been working hard as of late creating the
most unique custom sneakers the world has ever seen. One of
our latest projects involves the almighty Nike Dunk Low and
the oldest team in the MLB, the Cincinnati Reds. The
Cincinnati
Reds COO Phil Castellini, have commissioned us to create a
shoe celebrating the history of the team. The result is this
PMK x Cincinnati Reds “Grand Slam Dunk” custom. The base
shoe for the project was a Nike Dunk Low which was then
transformed by adding baseball leather, glove leather and
black dress leather to the upper. These materials are the
same ones used by the players back in the 1900s. The upper
also consists of lasered “Reds” graphics with a Red Swoosh
and
baseball stitching completing the look. The process was
indeed time consuming but it was well worth it in the end.
